ACCEPTABLE EX-LIBRARY: As an ex-library book, this hardcover is in good condition, having been protected with a plastic cover; however, in order for the library to remove it from its collection, the front end pages all the way to the title page have been removed. The removal process has left a cut in the title page near the binding, but the remainder of the book is in very good condition, showing no major signs of use or wear.

The library has left a few identification ink stamps on the title page and the page edges. The pages remain crease-free. There is a shelving label on the lower portion of the spine.

Released as the 8th book in the LEFT BEHIND series (but occurring story-wise as the 11th installment), THE MARK traces the lives of those who were left behind in the Rapture of the Saints and who had to endure the seven years of the Tribulation, when the world would see a one-world government, a one-world economic system, and a one-world religion come to domination, led by Satan himself.

The books follow Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins' biblical interpretation of End Times prophecies, which supports a "Pre-Trib" Rapture of the Church. In this interpretation, those who do not believe in Jesus as Christ and Savior are left behind to endure the seven years of the Tribulation. THE MARK takes place in the last half of the Tribulation, which is even more dangerous than the first. The Mark of the Beast (on the forehead or on the hand) will allow you to buy and trade—to survive—but taking it will condemn you to eternal Hell.
