ACCEPTABLE: The book was used in a college art history course and is heavily underlined with red to highlight important facts related to the course. This does not impact the readability of the book. There are also some notes in the book, but again it does not effect the use of the book.

This book was used in an Art History course in the mid-1960s. With its easily read text and almost 1,000 images ranging from 15,000-year-old cave paintings to the modernism of Jackson Pollock, this is an excellent reference and teaching textbook.
