This book was published originally in 1980 under the title Eva Perón and was then republished in 1996 to coincide with the release of the major motion picture Evita , starring Madonna. In this 1996 edition, the book has a new cover, introduction, and epilogue, but the content remains the same as the original 1980 edition.
