Summary
From the Introduction: "This book is a continuation of Diagraming , Book 1. Our goal is to make sure that students are never confronted with a sentence structure that is unfamiliar to them. Diagraming , Book 2 begins where the first book ended and proceeds to more complex sentence structures."
The "more complex sentence structures" include adjective and adverb propositional phrases, participles and participial phrases, gerunds and gerund phrases, infinitives and infinitive phrases used as nouns, infinitive phrases used as adjectives and adverbs, appositive phrases, noun clauses, adjective clauses, adverb clauses, words and phrases used in a series, declarative sentences, imperative sentences, interrogative sentences, compound sentences, complex sentences, and compound-complex sentences.
The authors suggest that the actual diagraming be done on separate sheets of paper, although other activities may be done in the book or duplicated (see Reproduction Limitations below).
Each lesson has four exercises. There is an answer key at the end of the book.
