Emmett Kelly, Jr. was born on November 13, 1923 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, and died November 29, 2006. Emmett followed in his father’s footsteps as the hobo circus clown Weary Willie, famous for his pantomime classic “Sweeping the Spotlight” routine. He was involved with numerous charities and was a World War II Navy veteran, having served three years in the Pacific.
