Welcome to Our Website!
Another Turn Used Books LLC is run by the husband-and-wife team of Samuel and Debra Polen, residents of Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, who homeschooled their son Stephen for all thirteen years of his primary and secondary education (K-12).
Once Stephen finished high school, we had lots of educational material that could be reused, and we concluded there were others who needed help in reselling their items as well.
We also have a long history of volunteering for non-profit organizations and found that raising money takes precious time away from their principal focus. We thought we could help and at the same time support ourselves in our “empty nest” years.
Our desire is to provide quality, personalized customer service while specializing in a rich assortment of gently-used books, textbooks, and educational toys and aids for the benefit of avid readers, homeschoolers, teachers, and students.
We invite you to introduce yourself in the comment section below and explore our website further. And once you’re ready to consign with us, please contact us, and we’ll make arrangements to get you started. We thank you for the opportunity to serve.
Your Own Shop
When you consign with us, you get your own Consignor ID, or CID for short. We then put a virtual tag on all of your items in the catalog that corresponds to your CID so that if you were to do a search on your CID, you’d get your own shop. This personalized shop is displayed in each post that contains your items (each of your shipments gets its own post in our blog).
If you were to do a search on your CID, whether in the blog or in the catalog, you’ll see your items that are currently available for sale. You may also access your own shop through its link (visit our FAQ page to determine your shop’s URL and to get tips on how to get it noticed) or through the navigation bar that appears at the top of each page of the website (“Consigning with Us” >> “Consignor Index”). If you’re missing items, it’s because they’ve been sold!
If your non-profit organization has items on consignment with us, it gets its own shop as well. If you so choose, it may have its own page in our special fundraisers section that gives more information about your organization’s goals. For our visitors to see the latest from your organization’s book drives, they may select Fundraisers from the gray menu bar that’s available at the top of each page on our website.
Every shipment we receive will be announced in its own blog article, which is accessible to visitors to the website and to those who’ve subscribed to the blog’s feed. Recent arrivals are also announced on our Facebook page, where over a billion active users can see them!
