VERY GOOD: All three books are in very good condition. The Locket has some yellowing of the pages due to age, but otherwise all three books have clean pages, the covers are without damage and the dust jackets are intact.
“The Locket is the first book of The Locket Trilogy. After the death of his mother, Michael Keddington finds employment at the Arcadia nursing home, where he befriends Esther, a reclusive elderly woman who lives in mourning for her youth and lost love. Michael faces his own challenges when he loses his greatest love, Faye. When Michael is falsely accused of abusing one of the Arcadia’s residents, he learns important lessons about faith and forgiveness from Esther, and her gift to him of a locket, once symbolic of one person’s missed opportunities, becomes another’s second chance.”—From the author’s web site
The Looking Glass
“The Looking Glass, the second book of The Locket Trilogy, is aptly named, for it is about seeing the reality of ourselves: to see a true reflection of who we are.
It is the story of Hunter Bell, a Presbyterian minister turned gambler, and the founder of a gold camp named Bethel. (Which you may remember was Esther’s hometown in The Locket.) He is running from the bitter memories of his past, his ministry, and ultimately, from his God.
Venturing into a blizzard to chase away wolves drawn close to his cabin by hunger, Hunter finds a beautiful young woman in the snow, wounded by the wolves and half dead with the cold. Her name is Quaye McGandley, and she is an Irish woman sold into marital slavery to a brutal husband who brought her to America against her will. As Hunter nurses her back to health, he finds that his tender ministrations to Quaye have opened his heart to his greatest fear– that he might love again.”—From the author’s web site
“The Carousel is the continuing story of The Locket Trilogy’s Michael Keddington and Faye Murrow. Michael attends college and works at the Arcadia nursing home while Faye prepares for medical school in Baltimore. The future seems rife with possibilities—and a hasty marriage before Faye’s departure would seem to seal their bond and protect them forever. But they will discover that even the deepest love must weather life’s demands. And their forgiveness and faith must be at the heart of their journey together.”—From the author’s web site
