Great Illustrated Classics Introduce Young Readers to Classic Literature

Great Illustrated Classics

You’re invited to visit our feature page for Baronet Books’ Great Illustrated Classics, adaptations of classic literature from authors such as Mark Twain, Jack London, Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Charles Dickens, and Arthur Conan Doyle, among many others.

Each book is written for young readers in Grades 3-8 and is generously illustrated in black-and-white line drawings that help create a complete picture of the story’s settings, characters, and events. If you’re homeschooling multiple ages, these editions are great for your younger students to read at the same time that your older students study the original works. (After reading these adaptations, our son read the original works when he got older.)

Our feature page lists over 60 titles in the series and provides links to our holdings as well as to those of other online merchants. You can find Great Illustrated Classics in various formats, including hardcover, trade paperback, and e-book.

Our Current Collection

You can find our current list of Great Illustrated Classics under the Shop by Department > Special Departments > Series menu option above, as well as through the Great Illustrated Classics Collection for Young Readers feature page. If you’d like to list your titles, please consider consigning them into our care.
